We were building language products and hit the same wall every time: fragmented data sources, no structured Arabic word database, no standard API. Libraries that hadn't been updated in years. Scrapers held together with hope.
128,000+ Arabic lemmas with roots, patterns, morphology, and meaning — sitting locked inside dictionaries with no programmatic access.
So we built the infrastructure we wished had existed.
KalimaLab is a clean, fast, developer-first Arabic Words API. Search by root, pattern, or meaning. Filter by part of speech. Paginate through the full corpus. Everything you need to build Arabic language products — delivered in milliseconds over a single REST API.
Built backend systems and language tools for years before running out of patience waiting for good Arabic data infrastructure to exist. Decided to build it instead.
